INTEGRASI ILMU KEISLAMAN DAN TEKNOLOGI DALAM PERSPEKTIF PENDIDIKAN ISLAM KONTEMPORER
Abstract
Rapid technological development has transformed educational practices, requiring Islamic educational institutions to respond adaptively while maintaining Islamic epistemological foundations. This study employs a qualitative library research method by analyzing classical Islamic scholarship, contemporary Islamic thought, and reputable international and national academic journals discussing technology, education, and Islamic epistemology. The findings reveal that technology, when positioned within a tauhid-based worldview, can function as an instrumental tool to strengthen learning effectiveness, expand access to knowledge, and support ethical and spiritual development. However, the absence of an integrative paradigm risks reinforcing epistemological dichotomy and value-neutral technological adoption. This study argues that integrating Islamic sciences and technology requires an epistemological reconstruction that harmonizes revelation, reason, and digital innovation. The article recommends developing integrative curricula, strengthening digital literacy grounded in Islamic ethics, and promoting interdisciplinary research in Islamic educational institutions to ensure that technological advancement contributes to holistic human development.
