Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Writing Guidelines for Authors

1. Journal Scope

This journal publishes high-quality scientific articles in the field of Primary Eucation (PGSD/PGMI). Types of articles published include:

  • Original research articles
  • Review articles
  • Case studies
  • Short communications

 

2. Manuscript Requirements

File Format

  • Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx)
  • Ensure the file can be opened and is not protected

Language

This journal accepts manuscripts in:

  • Indonesian
  • English

Manuscript Length

  • Research articles: 3,000 - 7,000 words (excluding abstract, references, and appendices)
  • Literature Review : 5,000 - 8,000 words

Typing Format

  • Font: Garamond
  • Spacing: Single spacing
  • Font size: Various according to template 
  • Paper size: A4 (210 x 297 mm)
  • Margins: According to template

 

3. Article Structure

Articles must be structured as follows:

3.1 Title

  • Concise, clear, and informative (maximum 15 words)
  • Specifically describes the article content
  • Written in Indonesian and English

3.2 Author Names and Affiliations

  • Full author names without academic titles
  • Complete affiliation (institution, faculty/department, city, country)
  • Corresponding author's email address
  • ORCID ID (if available)

3.3 Abstract

  • Written in Indonesian and English
  • Length: 150-250 words
  • Contains: background, objectives, methods, main results, and conclusions
  • Written in one paragraph without citations

3.4 Keywords

  • 3-5 keywords
  • Written in Indonesian and English
  • Using specific terms relevant to article content

3.5 Introduction

  • Background of the problem
  • Relevant literature review
  • Research gap
  • Research objectives and benefits
  • Hypothesis (if any)

3.6 Research Methods

  • Research design
  • Research location and time
  • Population and sample
  • Data collection techniques
  • Research instruments
  • Data analysis techniques

3.7 Results and Discussion

  • Presentation of research results (may use tables, figures, or graphs)
  • Discussion of results referring to theory and previous research
  • Comprehensive interpretation of results

3.8 Conclusion

  • Summary of main research findings
  • Theoretical and practical implications
  • Suggestions for future research
  • Research limitations

3.9 Acknowledgments (optional)

  • Appreciation to parties who assisted the research
  • Information on research funding sources

3.10 References

  • Minimum 15 references (for research articles)
  • 80% of references from primary sources (scientific journals)
  • 80% of references published in the last 10 years
  • Use reference manager application (Mendeley, Zotero, EndNote)

 

4. Writing Format

4.1 Citation Style

This journal uses APA (American Psychological Association) 7th Edition citation style

Examples of In-Text Citations:

  • One author: (Sudarsono, 2020)
  • Two authors: (Rahman & Hidayat, 2021)
  • Three or more: (Wijaya et al., 2022)

Examples of Reference List:

4.2 Tables and Figures

  • Tables and figures numbered sequentially with clear titles
  • Table titles written above the table, figure titles below the figure
  • Source of table/figure must be cited if not original work
  • Minimum image resolution 300 dpi
  • Tables should not use vertical lines

4.3 Mathematical Formulas/Equations

  • Use equation editor
  • Numbered sequentially on the right side
  • Explain each variable used

5. Publication Ethics

This journal follows the Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines from COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics).

5.1 Originality Statement

  • The submitted manuscript is the author's original work
  • The manuscript has never been published elsewhere
  • The manuscript is not under review in another journal
  • Authors must sign the Copyright Transfer Agreement

5.2 Plagiarism Policy

  • Maximum similarity limit: 20% (detected using Turnitin or similar software)
  • Similarity above 20% will be rejected without review
  • Self-plagiarism is also considered a violation
  • Proper citation is mandatory for all sources used

5.3 Conflict of Interest

  • Authors must declare the presence/absence of conflicts of interest
  • Conflicts of interest include: financial, institutional, or personal
  • Research funding sources must be clearly stated

5.4 Ethical Approval

  • Research involving human subjects must obtain ethical clearance from an ethics committee
  • Research involving animals must comply with animal welfare protocols
  • Ethical clearance number must be included in the manuscript
  • Informed consent from research participants must be obtained

5.5 Authorship

  • All listed authors must make substantial contributions
  • The order of author names must be agreed upon by all authors
  • Changes to authorship after submission must have approval from all parties

6. Manuscript Submission Process

6.1 How to Submit

  1. Register as an author in our OJS system: 
  2. Login and select "New Submission" menu
  3. Complete article metadata (title, abstract, keywords, authors)
  4. Upload manuscript file according to template
  5. Upload supplementary files if any (supporting data, appendices)
  6. Check submission statements
  7. Submit and wait for confirmation from editor

6.2 Review Process

  • Review system: Double-blind peer review
  • Estimated review time: 4-8 weeks
  • Review decisions:
    • Accepted (accepted without revision)
    • Minor revision
    • Major revision
    • Rejected

6.3 Manuscript Status

Authors can monitor manuscript status through the OJS dashboard
