The article presents a reanalysis of research whose field data were collected during the 2022/2023 academic year; 2026 is the year of article preparation, not data collection. The study employed a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest–posttest design. The subjects comprised 30 fifth-grade students at MI Baitul Mukmin, Wringinagung, Jombang, Jember. The instrument was a 20-item test covering conversion of common fractions to mixed numbers, mixed numbers to common fractions, and common fractions to percentages. Analysis included descriptive statistics, prerequisite tests, and a paired-sample t-test. Individual data showed a mean pretest score of 45.50 and a mean posttest score of 70.80, yielding an average increase of 25.30 points. The normality test on residuals produced Asymp. Sig. = 0.200 > 0.05. The paired-sample t-test yielded t = −21.071, df = 29, and Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000. These results indicate a significant difference between scores before and after learning using Short Card. However, documentation of the original study contains inconsistencies in reporting validity tests and interpreting reliability; the recorded Cronbach’s Alpha was 0.466, so this article does not claim that the instrument has high reliability. The findings suggest the potential of card-game media as an active, simple, and still relevant strategy for mathematics learning in current educational contexts.
2026-10-05T02:32:27+00:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://ejournal.uas.ac.id/index.php/auladuna/article/view/3370 A Study on the Implementation of Constructivist Learning Theory in the Problem-Based Learning Model to Enhance Elementary School Students' Critical Thinking Skills 2026-10-07T10:35:37+00:00 Fauza Wayah Azhari fuzawyahazzahri@ut.ac.id Fitri Indriyani fitriindriyan@ut.ac.id Imam Syafi'i imam.syafii@ecampus.ut.ac.id Sardjijo Sardjijo sardjijo@ut.ac.id Muhammad Farizal Amri mfarizalamri@ut.ac.id
The current investigation focuses on the role played by the constructivist theory of learning integrated with the PBL model in developing critical thinking skills of students at grade VB of elementary school Pandeglang, Banten, Indonesia. Critical thinking skills are fundamental for the contemporary epoch; however, there is insufficient knowledge on how they could be nurtured systematically in elementary school students of Indonesia. This qualitative and descriptive investigation took place from July to December 2024 in order to identify the opinions of 28 purposively selected students. For this purpose, data collection methods used in this case study included classroom observations, semistructured interviews, and documentary analysis. Data obtained through the above-mentioned methods were subjected to interactive analysis by the criteria suggested by Miles, Huberman, and Saldana. To ensure the validity of the results, data triangulation was utilized in this study. Based on this research, it can be concluded that the implementation of constructivism in each of five PBL syntaxes (problem orientation, student organization, guided inquiry, work presentation, and reflection and evaluation) improves critical thinking of students
2026-10-07T00:00:00+00:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement##
