Manuscript Submission Guidelines for The IJELE Journal

  1. Registration and Submission
    • Authors must register or log in to the system to submit manuscripts.
    • Manuscripts must be submitted via the journal's online system; submissions via email will not be accepted.
  2. Manuscript Length and Format
    • The manuscript should be around 5,000 to 7,000 words, including the abstract and references, formatted in a single space and one-column style.
    • Manuscripts must be submitted in English using doc., docx., or rtf. formats.
    • Formatting requirements: A4 paper, 12-point Times New Roman font, single spacing, and 2.54 cm margins. No headers or footers are necessary.
  3. Structure and Headings
    • The manuscript should include the following main headings:
      • ABSTRACT
      • INTRODUCTION
      • METHOD
      • FINDINGS
      • DISCUSSION
      • CONCLUSION
      • REFERENCES
    • Subheadings under main headings are permitted. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT and APPENDIX sections may be added if needed.
  4. Title and Abstract
    • The title should be a maximum of 18 words, written in sentence case, centered, and formatted in 14-point font.
    • The abstract must be 200–250 words, outlining the study's background, purpose, methodology, main findings, and conclusion, followed by 3–5 keywords.
  5. Content Proportions
    • Introduction: Include background, research context, literature review, and objectives, comprising 15–20% of the article.
    • Method: Describe the research design, site, participants, data collection, and analysis in 10–15% of the article. Subheadings are optional.
    • Findings and Discussion: Present data analysis results and their theoretical implications, accounting for 40–60% of the article.
    • Conclusion: Summarize the findings, implications, recommendations, and limitations, moving beyond a simple restatement of results.
  6. Citations and References
    • Follow APA 7th edition for all citations, quotations, tables, figures, and references.
    • Ensure all in-text citations appear in the references and vice versa.
    • At least 80% of sources should be from the past 5 years, focusing on reputable journal articles, books, and research reports. Citations from journals should constitute 80% of total references.
    • Use bracketed citations (e.g., Last Name, Year), and include page numbers for direct quotes (e.g., p. 78 or pp. 78-89).
  7. Communication and Plagiarism Check
    • Communication with the journal occurs exclusively through email and the journal system.
    • Authors are encouraged to use plagiarism detection tools like Turnitin before submission. Editors will also verify similarity using Turnitin. Manuscripts showing plagiarism will be rejected.
  8. Publication Timeline
    • Accepted articles are assigned to an issue by the Editor-in-Chief based on acceptance dates.
    • The average turnaround time from submission to publication is approximately four months.
  9. Publication Schedule
    • The journal is published biannually in March and September.
