Abstract. This community service program aimed to identify the distribution of Visual, Auditory, and Kinesthetic (VAK) learning styles among prospective first-grade students and to enhance parental understanding through school–family partnership-based parenting education. A participatory community-based approach with a descriptive-educational intervention design was employed. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and observations involving 30 prospective students, followed by an interactive parenting session. The findings revealed that 40% of students demonstrated a visual learning tendency, while auditory and kinesthetic preferences each accounted for 30%. These results highlight the importance of implementing multisensory instructional strategies in early primary education. Furthermore, 83% of parents demonstrated improved understanding of their children’s learning characteristics, and 78% expressed readiness to apply supportive learning strategies at home. The program confirms that integrating learning style identification with parenting education effectively strengthens school–family collaboration in supporting school readiness. Future initiatives should include longitudinal monitoring to assess long-term impacts on student adaptation and academic achievement.
Akhmad Rudi MasrukhinM. Nafiur RofiqDefri Khoirul Rizki

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role in driving the local economy, including in Paseban Village, Jember, which is known for its ‘Opak Gulung’ product a traditional food based on local wisdom. However, limited use of digital technology and weak branding strategies hinder the competitiveness of these products in wider markets. This Community Service Programme aims to enhance the capacity of 40 MSME operators through digital awareness-raising and creative branding training. The implementation method employs the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach. The results of the activities show an 83.3% increase in partners’ conceptual understanding, with the average score rising from 48.00 to 88.00. In terms of technical skills, there was a 95.4% improvement in content design capabilities. Furthermore, there was a 100% increase in the adoption of digital platforms, with partners now managing an average of two independent marketing platforms. This demonstrates that integrating digital marketing and creative branding effectively enhances the competitiveness of Opak Gulung SMEs in Paseban Village towards economic self-reliance.
Titin NurhidayatiM Nafiur RofiqEka Harlin SusianiNur AzizahYakub Hamdani AliNoval FirmansyahM Syaivan HidayatDiva Asadia Nirmala NugrahaMuhammad Rizzal PahrefiLukmatun NaimahRafida Tri NurhidayahFerdy Eka PermaisugiHusnul HotimahFitria Ramadanti

Household financial distress following high-consumption periods such as holidays remains a recurring issue in Indonesia, including among the PKK community in Jombang Village. This condition is primarily driven by limited practical accounting literacy in managing cash flows, leading to a dependency on consumptive debt. This community service program aimed to improve the financial health of partners through a structured financial management intervention. The method employed was Participatory Action Research (PAR), consisting of four stages: financial diagnosis, digital-based recording implementation, continuous monitoring, and evaluation. The results showed a 154% increase in average financial literacy scores, with the most significant improvement in digital recording discipline, which rose by 360%. Furthermore, the implementation of the 50/30/20 budgeting method reduced non-essential expenditures by 25% and shifted partners' cash flow from deficit to surplus within 30 days. These findings suggest that the digitalization of simple financial records can serve as an effective strategy for fostering behavioral change and strengthening household financial resilience.
Femba Akris DiantoroKhurin'in RatnasariMuhammad HamdiDovi Iwan Musthofa Habibillah

This community service activity aims to strengthen the self-confidence of student preachers (dai mahasiswa) in delivering Islamic preaching (dakwah) through a public speaking training program grounded in the values of Islam wasathiyah(moderate Islam). The activity was carried out as part of the Islam Wasathiyah Student Preacher Workshop (Workshop Dai Mahasiswa Islam Wasathiyah), organized by Universitas Al-Falah As-Sunniyyah (UAS) Kencong Jember in collaboration with the Agency for Religious Moderation and Human Resource Development (BMBPSDM) of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. The core challenge addressed was the persistently low self-confidence of prospective student preachers particularly those designated for deployment to underdeveloped, remote, and frontier regions (3T areas) in speaking before an audience, as well as their limited capacity for moderate and adaptive dakwah communication.

The method employed was participatory training with a descriptive quantitative approach, utilizing a pre-test and post-test design. The activity was conducted over three days involving approximately 30 student participants. The training process encompassed material delivery, limited practice sessions, and evaluation through observation as well as pre-test and post-test results to measure changes in participants' self-confidence levels.

The results demonstrated an improvement in students' self-confidence in presenting ideas before an audience, although technical competencies in audience engagement and message delivery still require further development. In addition, participants showed a better understanding of the importance of moderate, inclusive, and contextually sensitive dakwah communication in a diverse society. The implications of this activity suggest that public speaking training grounded in Islam wasathiyah values can serve as an effective strategy for strengthening the capacity of student preachers.

The originality of this activity lies in its integration of public communication skills training with the reinforcement of religious moderation values in the context of student preacher development within higher education institutions.
Rizqiyah Ratu BalqisAch SyaikhuRiadi HartonoImra’atus Shalihah

This community service program aimed to improve the literacy and numeracy skills of kindergarten (TK) and elementary school (SD) children through community-based tutoring assistance in Jadugan Hamlet. The main problems addressed were the low levels of reading, writing, and arithmetic skills among children and the limited learning support outside formal schooling. The program employed a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach consisting of the stages of problem diagnosis, participatory planning, action, observation, and reflection. The participants were 17 children, comprising 5 kindergarten students and 12 elementary school students. Data were collected through structured observation using a developmental checklist, brief interviews with parents, and documentation, and were analyzed using a qualitative descriptive approach supported by numerical data. The results indicated an improvement in children’s academic abilities, with the proportion of children categorized as developing increasing to 70.6% in reading, 64.7% in writing, and 76.5% in numeracy. In addition, 82.4% of the children demonstrated increased learning motivation and participation, while 76% of parents showed greater involvement in assisting their children’s learning at home. The program also fostered collective awareness within the community regarding the importance of children’s education. These findings suggest that community-based tutoring assistance using a PAR approach is effective in enhancing children’s academic skills and learning motivation while strengthening the role of families and communities in supporting sustainable education.
Hafif KomarullahBetty HandayaniYatik WasilahIsmi Ulfatul IlmiyahHumairoh Humairoh

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in pesantren-based madrasahs face a dual challenge: mastering religious content while delivering it digitally to Generation Z students. This community service program aimed to enhance the competence of PAI teachers at MTs Dalwa Pasuruan in designing innovative learning media using the Canva application. An initial survey revealed that only 24% of the 25 participating teachers had previously used digital design applications for instructional purposes. The program was conducted on December 16, 2025, at the MTs Dalwa Computer Laboratory, employing a participatory training method with a hands-on approach encompassing four phases: socialization, introduction to Canva features, guided independent practice, and evaluation of outputs. Assessment results demonstrated significant improvement across all evaluated dimensions: the overall mean score increased from 43.4 on the pre-test to 81.1 on the post-test, with the greatest gain of 48.2 points recorded in Canva proficiency. A total of 76% of participants successfully completed an independent PAI learning media product within the training period, and the overall participant satisfaction rate reached 91.2%. These findings confirm that hands-on participatory training is effective in developing digital competencies among PAI teachers in madrasah settings with previously limited technology access. Replication of this program at other madrasahs in Pasuruan Regency is recommended, with the addition of structured post-training mentoring sessions.
Asep RahmatullahFaisol HakimMukhsin Mukhsin

High illiteracy rates among school-age children in Kampung Tendas, Dusun Jadugan, Mojosari Village, Puger District, Jember Regency, East Java, prompted the establishment of a community tutoring program by students of PkM-BR Universitas Al-Falah As-Sunniyah (UAS) Kencong. The problem is rooted in structural factors including poverty, limited access to formal education, and a coastal livelihood culture that prioritizes subsistence work over children's schooling. This community service activity aimed to improve basic literacy skills among children aged 5–12 years through the Empowerment Based Research (EBR) approach, following the ECA-EVARED cycle (Exploration, Create and Action, Evaluation, Report and Dissemination). A play based learning method was employed, integrating letter and number recognition with foundational reading, writing, and arithmetic (calistung) skills through interactive and engaging activities. The program ran four sessions per week over two months at the Al-Fallah Musholla, with 15 children as core participants and supported by local community volunteers. Results indicate measurable progress in participants' basic literacy: children who previously could not recognize letters became able to construct simple syllables. Beyond cognitive gains, the program succeeded in building children's motivation and self-confidence, while fostering community synergy that provides a foundation for the program's continuity after the service period ends.
Dhevin M.Q Agus Puspita WJamilatun Nafi’ahMoh.
The increasing number of elderly people in Indonesia demands the availability of social services that can meet physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs in an integrated manner. However, the implementation of elderly empowerment programs that integrate psychosocial counseling, spiritual support, activity therapy, and social participation in social service institutions is still limited. This community service activity aims to improve the psychosocial well-being of the elderly through a holistic empowerment program at the Jember Technical Implementation Unit for Social Services for the Elderly (UPT PSTW). The activity was implemented using an Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach through the stages of preparation, discovery, dream, design, define, and destiny. The implementation results showed that the entire series of activities can be implemented collaboratively by involving managers, counselors, caregivers, volunteers, and the elderly. Although there are still limitations in human resources and supporting facilities, the asset-based approach can optimize the potential of institutions and communities in providing social services. This activity shows that the integration of psychosocial counseling, spiritual support, activity therapy, and social participation is a good practice that can be a reference for the development of elderly empowerment services in other social service institutions.
Puji MaulanaMoch.
Health problems such as Tuberculosis (TB) are a public health issue in Sukorambi Village that strongly intersects with social issues, because it gives rise to stigma, social isolation, reduces productivity, and increases the economic burden on households. TB is not merely a clinical issue, but a socio-health issue that requires social system support at the village level ranging from education, mentoring, to service referrals. Therefore, the objective of this community service activity is directed at building a community (Karang Taruna and students) as a social service institution capable of supporting the prevention and mitigation of the social impacts of TB more systematically. The approach methods used in this implementation include Observation, Socialization and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The substantive achievement of the activity can be seen from the formation of a shared understanding of the management framework of community-based social service organizations and this activity succeeded in achieving the main achievement of increasing the capacity of young actors in Sukorambi Village, especially Karang Taruna and students in viewing TB as a social issue that requires a collective community-based response.
Fajri MaulanaSenato ErasandiYaen Miftakhul LailyNian RiawatiWydha Mustika MaharaniMasadib Akmal VyandriMuhamad Nanda Al Hakim AkbarLaili Rahma HalimahAryo Prakoso

The SIJADI (Digital Sales Readiness) Program is a community engagement initiative designed to empower micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Wonorejo Village, Kencong District, Jember Regency through digital marketing assistance. The program employed a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach involving 20 MSME owners and three local agricultural landowners. The implementation consisted of needs assessment, social media and marketplace training, hands-on workshops on product photography, copywriting, and packaging, followed by continuous mentoring through a WhatsApp group. Program effectiveness was evaluated using a digital literacy pretest–posttest, an observational checklist of participants' practical skills, and documentation of online marketing activities. The evaluation results indicated that the participants' mean digital literacy score increased from 52.4 in the pretest to 81.7 in the posttest. Furthermore, 18 of the 20 MSME participants (90%) successfully created online store accounts, while 16 participants (80%) actively marketed their products through Shopee, TikTok Shop, and social media platforms by the end of the program. In addition, seven MSMEs (35%) received orders from customers outside Wonorejo Village during the mentoring period. These findings demonstrate that participatory, practice-oriented mentoring effectively enhances digital competencies and expands market reach for rural MSMEs. The SIJADI Program has strong potential to be replicated in other villages as a sustainable model for digital economic empowerment.
Setyo UtamiIklil ShofarRif'atun Nasiroh AuliaNajmi NavishaSamharir Rosa AninadirohDyah Putri Wahyuning TyasDina Maulidatul HasanahCowima Fanza MaulidaJulian LiewAchmad MunawirYuszri Thoha Asy'ari

The Dinikoe ceramic industry faces challenges in its product design development process; designs are currently created manually, resulting in lengthy development times, limited design variations, and a lack of standardized working drawing documentation. This community service initiative aims to enhance the capabilities of the industry's personnel in developing ceramic product designs using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, specifically Autodesk Inventor. The methodology employed involved observation, interviews, the development of training modules, formal training, hands-on practice, mentoring, and evaluation involving six Dinikoe employees. Evaluation was conducted by comparing participants' skills before and after the training, based on indicators such as understanding product design concepts, proficiency in using Autodesk Inventor, product visualization, working drawing documentation, design variety, and dimensional accuracy. The results demonstrate an improvement in participants' competence in creating 3D models, generating digital technical drawings, and developing more innovative and accurate product design variations. The implementation of Autodesk Inventor also supports a more systematic product development process, increases design efficiency, and strengthens the MSME's competitiveness through the digitalization of design workflows. Future activities are recommended to focus on training for advanced Autodesk Inventor features, integrating design outputs with digital marketing strategies, and continuously evaluating the impact on productivity, product innovation, and business performance.
Sanny Andjar SariReiny Ditta MyrtantiJulianus HutabaratHarimbi SetyawatiSri Indriani

Limited ability to read the Qur'an in accordance with tajwid rules, coupled with the lack of systematic Islamic learning, remains a challenge for many housewives in Sukoreno Village, Jember Regency, in fulfilling their role as primary educators within the family. This community service program aimed to develop and implement an integrated mentoring model based on the Yanbu'a method and thematic Islamic studies to improve Qur'anic literacy while strengthening the spiritual capacity of housewives. The program employed a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, with intervention components consisting of needs assessment, Qur'anic learning using the Yanbu'a method through the talaqqi technique, thematic Islamic studies, and participatory monitoring and evaluation. Approximately 20 housewives participated in the mentoring program. The results demonstrated improvements in participants' ability to recite the Qur'an more accurately in accordance with makharij al-huruf and tajwid principles, increased learning motivation, enhanced religious understanding, and strengthened roles as spiritual role models and primary educators within their families. The novelty of this program lies in the implementation of an integrated mentoring model that combines Yanbu'a-based Qur'anic learning with spiritual reinforcement through thematic Islamic studies within a participatory empowerment cycle. This model not only enhances participants' Qur'anic reading skills but also develops their spiritual capacity as a foundation for family resilience. Practically, the mentoring model can be adapted by majelis taklim (Islamic study groups), Qur'anic learning centers (TPQ), village governments, and higher education institutions in developing community empowerment programs based on Qur'anic literacy. Future community service programs are recommended to incorporate quantitative evaluation instruments to measure participants' competency improvement more objectively.
Yunita WulandariAhmad Zuhairuz ZamanMuhammad Fikri FauziMailinda Anis ZulaihaNazil Khamid GhazaliRosyid Sidik WagionoAhmad Lutfi Ismail AlmurtadhoSyahrur Roby ArdiansyahAbd MujibMoh Riza Irsyadillah
